Do you have a father?

Is he there with you?

Do you worry about him dying?

Or would you ever see him crying?

I have a father

And he is not here

He is fighting for this country

Second time this year,

He won’t be home for Christmas,

He wasn’t here for my birthday

I miss him more and more everyday

I don’t understand how this could happen

A normal family torn by war

Do people realize how hurt the families are?

Or do they even care?

This world revolves around money

And not love.

For if it did there wouldn’t be war

And family members wouldn’t be away from their families.

No body really thinks of that do they?

They think as long as they are happy

All is good.

But what about the families morning over their dead family member?

Does no one care if someone dies?

What has this world come to?

We are all a bunch of savages trying to get by

But when one dies.

They get a speech and a medal.

Just that for ones life?

I thought life had no price and everyone should grow old?

That’s what I was told.

So I will end this now but think about the questions I ask.

Do you love your family?

If one of them went to war how would you feel?

If one died in war would there be a price for their death?

Would you cry every night wishing they were back home?
